UCF Baseball Stadium Expansion

This project included CPC as a member of Skanska USA’s team in its remodeling of the baseball stadium at the University of Central Florida in east Orlando. UCF boasts the second largest student population in the United States, and the baseball stadium is a major part of the sports and town center-anchored northeast portion of the main campus.

The initial phase of this project included the addition of 1,100 bench-back bleacher seats located above the main course and an expansion to the existing restroom building. Phase II added an elevated deck to provide a new modern press box, a 150-seat club area, an outdoor terrace, 1,200 additional bench-back seats, new restrooms, concessions stands and a children’s activity area.

CPC performed detailed boundary and topographic surveying of the entire baseball stadium, including detail of the administration building, stands, concessions parking, and areas beyond the outfield. Tasks included detailed utility surveying, which allowed for precise design of upgrades on a compressed schedule that saw work begin at the close of the 2013 baseball season and be completed before the start of the 2014 season. Through this project CPC was able to continue our partnership with Skanska and UCF.
