SR 834 (Sample Rd.)/SR 7 (US 441)/ SR 814 (Atlantic Boulevard) Grouping

This $10 million grouping was made up of three RRR jobs located in the municipalities of Margate, Coconut Creek, Coral Springs and Pompano Beach. The project improved traffic operations and safety conditions for the Sample Road / SR-7 / Atlantic Boulevard corridors. The scope of the projects included milling and resurfacing, widening, major signalization and lighting improvements including over 20 drilled shafts and mast arms and over 32 new light pole systems, gravity wall construction with aluminum railing (over 1,050 linear feet), installation of six highway cantilever signs, over 1,000 linear feet of bridge fence installation, special bridge-mounted, illuminated signs (retrofit installation with special anchors attached to the existing AASHTO beams), landscape and irrigation installation and ADA upgrades.
