Seminole Tribe of Florida Big Cypress Reservation, Mabel T. Frank Residential Development

Industry Type:

The Mabel T. Frank Residential Development is located east of Josie Billie Highway and north of Halls Road and the RV Resort on the Big Cypress Reservation. The 71-acre community will comprise rental homes on quarter-acre lots and 17 1.5-acre home sites. The development is named after Mabel T. Frank, as it is built on the site of her former cattle pasture. As a professional consulting services provider, CPC initially developed a stormwater master plan model to plan the grading for the proposed site. The primary engineering challenge was to minimize the impact on the existing flood storage while grading the homesites to an elevation well above the established 100-year peak stage. The stormwater pond and the area in green north of the site were used to provide compensating flood storage. CPC provided the site plan, paving, grading, and drainage, as well as the new sewer lift station, landscaping, irrigation, and lighting plans for the community project.
