CPC’s Metrology Team supports contractors in building and maintaining theme park rides safely. Based on the scope of the application, which involves measuring and modeling these rides, CPC utilizes a wide variety of scanners and trackers to efficiently capture the project area. Our objective is to implement a high-precision laser tracking system to monitor the physical alignment, structural integrity, and dynamic motion. In this case, we are using the Revenge of the Mummy roller coaster as an example, thereby improving safety, performance diagnostics, and preventive maintenance. When selecting equipment for projects, CPC considers several key variables, including the size of the structure, the area of interest for scanning, the distance to the target structure, prevailing weather conditions, potential movements, and accessibility. Safety is an amusement park’s number one priority!
