City of Deerfield Beach AIA Utility & Streetscape Improvements

The City of Deerfield Beach selected CPC to provide professional services for the N. Ocean Drive/SR AIA Streetscape and Utility Undergrounding project, which includes enhanced landscaping, hardscaping, and turtle-friendly lighting improvements along 1600 feet of FDOT right-of-way along SR AIA between NE 1st Street and NE 4th Court. The scope of services includes improved pedestrian connectivity through the tourist/commercial hub, with design of bollard pedestrian lighting, upgraded decorative LED street lighting, and 7 seven in-road LED pedestrian crosswalks. CPC coordinated with the following franchise and municipal utility providers for the location and design of their proposed utility undergrounding of their aerial franchise utilities: FLA Public Utilities Co, Gas, FDOT, Roadways & Drainage, City of Deerfield Beach Utilities, Water, Wastewater, & Drainage, and Broward County Traffic Engineering, Traffic Control. CPC developed utility adjustment construction plans for the undergrounding of utilities. CPC developed Streetscape improvement construction plans, including Grading and Paving Plans for decorative brick paver sidewalks, curbing and curb ramps, Signage and striping plans for repair of affected areas, Landscape design, and Irrigation system modification design. CPC provided site construction observation. CPC also provided public relations and coordination with commercial property owners and businesses along the corridor and post design services.
