Broward County Lighting & Sidewalk Improvements

Project Type:

Broward County selected CPC to provide professional engineering services on their first surtax project for three residential communities, Boulevard Gardens, Roosevelt Gardens, and Washington Park.  The Project is approximately 630 acres in total area and contains approximately 22.5 miles of public right of way. The project includes improvements for roadways and drainage, sidewalks, streetlights and utilities. The scope of work includes sidewalk additions, ADA improvements,  drainage improvements, incidental signing and pavement markings, and LED lighting upgrades to the existing substandard lighting system.  The lighting system will be installed and maintained by FPL through a lease agreement.CPC worked closely with Broward County and its residents, addressing the needs of the Community that were requested during the public involvement process. The success of this project can be attributed to the effective public involvement meeting and feedback received from the community and the Broward County Commissioners, who support this exciting project. This important project will enhance safety for pedestrians day and night as a safer and walkable community.
