2019 American Council of Engineering Companies of Florida annually recognizes outstanding achievements by its members in accomplishing Florida Department of Transportation projects. CPC completed this $ 60ML six-mile long reconstruction project that includes new features and enhancements to improve safety and mobility in western Miami-Dade County. The project included widening the road from two-lanes to four– lanes; installation of a 40 ft. median, new drainage system and guardrail throughout the project limits; and constructed a new multi-use trail for walking and biking. The SW 88 St/Kendall Drive section realigned the intersection; reconstructed the roadway and shoulders; and upgraded signage, lighting and traffic signals. The SW 8 St/Tamiami Trail section realigned the intersection and widened the bridge over the C-4 Canal.
