CPC Guest Speaker at WTS FIU Student Chapter Event

CPC is proud to announce that Mohan Gopalakrishna, PE, PTOE, Vice President of Traffic and Transportation, will be a featured guest speaker at the Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS) Student Chapter event at Florida International University (FIU) on January 24 in Miami, Florida.

Established in 2013, the WTS FIU Student Chapter is dedicated to advancing careers in transportation, with a focus on empowering women in engineering and planning. This event offers students and emerging professionals the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and explore pathways in the transportation field.

With over 33 years of experience, Mohan is a respected transportation consultant for both local municipalities and state agencies, including the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). His areas of expertise include:

    • Traffic impact studies

    • Development Review Committee (DRC) reviews

    • Safety and operational studies

    • Signal timing and synchronization

    • Complete Streets design

    • Traffic signal, signage, pavement marking, and lighting design

Mohan holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering from Bangalore, India, and a Master of Engineering in Transportation from the University of Florida. He was recognized by the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Florida Section for his research, “Cost-Benefit Analysis of Improving Highways with High Accident Rates.”
