CPC is pleased to announce that Tom McCarthy, P.E., has joined the firm as the new Director of Engineering for Central Florida and will lead the Land Development practice’s growth for our Orlando office.
Tom’s extensive 42-year career includes a wealth of experience in real estate development and consulting. He has held licenses as a professional civil engineer (P.E. – active) and certified general contractor (C.G.C.), and graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida (1977) and an MBA in Management from the University of Miami (2003).
As a veteran Project Manager and Owner’s Representative for large-scale commercial and residential developments, Tom’s project experience includes the Four Seasons Resort at Walt Disney World, Dr. Phillips Performing Arts Center, the World Equestrian Center in Ocala, much of the 4,300-acre Solivita community in Poinciana, and the Oviedo Marketplace Mall.
He has previously held management-level positions in development and land acquisition for Park Square Homes, Mattamy Homes, Silverstein Properties, Carmen Dominguez Construction (Balfour Beatty), The Ryland Group, Ginn Resorts, Avatar Retirement Communities, The Rouse Company, The Viera Company and more.
